Webinar: "Web conferencing is used to conduct live meetings, training, or presentations via the Internet. In a web conference, each participant sits at his or her own computer and is connected to other participants via the internet. This can be either a downloaded application on each of the attendees' computers or a web-based application where the attendees access the meeting by clicking on a link distributed by e-mail (meeting invitation) to enter the conference." From Wikipedia. Each session can hold about 1,000 attendees.

A new blog site: GeneaWebinars will be posting new webinars with all information as soon as they are announced. Very nice to have a blog just for webinars. Thank you DearMYRTLE for setting this up.

Barbara - thanks so much for the shout out! My Google for Genealogists webinar this Wednesday, January 5, 2011 should be fun - we have over 1,500 registrants from 31 countries so far. And there is room for more!
Thanks for these links. You wrote to me last month about some good webinars you had watched, and I see that you've kept up the good practice with lots more online education! I'm going to have to try some of these.
Thanks for the comments. Actually I did a blog post in Nov. I think. Should try and find it, and label both as "webinar" so it will be easy to locate on the tab.
Thomas, you are more than welcome.
thanks for the tip. I have not watched any of these and free is great
Thanks for posting this information. I look forward to Thomas'webinar this afternoon.

Thank you all for your comments. I hope you got to hear Tom, and remember it can be heard for the next month.
I'm so glad you posted this. I keep coming back to it and have signed up for one of the RootsMagic webinars. I really wish I could have attended Thomas's but had a conflict. I heard it was excellent.
Thank you Michelle for your comment.
