If it is being talked about, it is being Googled
Choose a simple, clean, and mostly white theme (bold is good too)
The title and content should mesh
Deliver your best value in each article
Use photos or images
Add links, and supporting material
Write for you

Along with that bold, make the font large enough for old eyes to read, no number 6 fonts please!
And, pick a color for your font that is dark enough to read, like, ditch the light gray stuff folks. I won't be straining my eyes to read it.

Bravo! Good list, Barb. And you know my personal pet peeve -- avoid affiliate links and widgets that slow down the load time of the page.
Great points. I'm too wordy sometimes. And I'm a big fan of the zoom function on my browser!
