Welcome to my Genealogy Blog.

Why not spend a minute or two at my Blog to see if there is anything interesting to read. Perhaps I've written something about your ancestor, gave a hint on how to locate something, provided a different way to do research, or just gave a glimpse into the world of genealogy research through words or photos. I try to make it light and enjoyable.

My roots are from New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada.

Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.

I also have a blog called Seeing New England. Why not visit it, to get a feeling for the area.

Same Pattern -- Wordless Wednesday

My mother majored in textiles in college, and loved sewing.
As a result, just about everything I wore was made by her.
We lived near San Francisco, so I am assuming these photos were taken in the winter.

What a darling tot you were! The coats are wonderful. Did she make the hat as well?

Adorable pictures, especially the top one. You must have grown up being dressed to the nines. Cool!

Thank you ladies. I don't know about the darling part, and yes, I am positive she made the hat (my father was in the Navy). My clothes were new, but I dressed like a child when I was older. Because my sisters were 4 and 6 yrs. younger, so say I'm 10, dressed like a 4 yr. old!

Oh how cute...your mom was a talented seamstress and you were just adorable! (I'm sure you still are, but you know what I mean...)

I just noticed the same pattern when I scanned these! Dee, you are so sweet, can you hear me laughing. And, I think my mother must have had extra time on her hands to do the hat (but I was the only child at that point).
