This past week was spent doing a lot of thinking about the 1 1/2 years I have been blogging, non-stop. I decided to take a little break. My plan is to do far less blogging for a few months, instead, I'll work on my family history, make more trips to libraries, and read your posts.
Dick Eastman wrote Archaeological Dig Reveals Lifestyles of Early Irish Settlers in my city of Lowell, Massachusetts. He also lived here as well, so we both claim the city.
Continuing with my Historical Society photos, I discovered another one recently in Harvard, Massachusetts. When I went to take the photo, I saw that it shares the building with the Still River Baptist Church... smart utilization of the space.

I've been doing some of that same type of thinking lately, and also really want to do more research than I have been, so I sympathize. Still, hope to hear occasionally from you, as I always look forward to reading your posts.
We all need to re-evaluate our priorities just to make sure we're doing what we want or need to be doing. Good to know you'll still be in the neighborhood!

I have enjoyed reading through your blog. I agree, that sometimes blogging can overtake the genealogical world and in turn, genealogy can overtake everything!

I too have been thinking along the same line even though I really haven't blogged much in the last few years.
I have been so busy with grandchildren, my mom's estate, etc., that I have really gotten away from researching, blogging and genealogy in general. My goal is to hunker down and do the research on my own family that I have been wanting to do for a very long time now.
Plus, if I am able to research, find those ancestor's and their stories, I will have something to blog about when I am ready! Thanks for a great post, Barbara.
Gini, I hear you loud and clear, we have the same problem, trying to find time to research or blog, and sometimes do both. Seems being retired gives you more time to spend away from genealogy, and it isn't fair! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be able to get back to it soon.
