Welcome to my Genealogy Blog.

Why not spend a minute or two at my Blog to see if there is anything interesting to read. Perhaps I've written something about your ancestor, gave a hint on how to locate something, provided a different way to do research, or just gave a glimpse into the world of genealogy research through words or photos. I try to make it light and enjoyable.

My roots are from New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada.

Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.

I also have a blog called Seeing New England. Why not visit it, to get a feeling for the area.

Wordless Wednesday -- Easter Pictures

My first Easter, I think.

Painful to look at, because I hated dressing like my youngest sister.
Showing it, because the outfits were made by my mother.
Light blue fabric and the jacket was removable.

Love them both! Maybe you didn't like dressing like your sister, but the photo is wonderful! Your mom was a wonderful seamstress.

Lovely photos! I remember being dressed the same as my 2 younger sisters and hating it.

Love the photos Barbara ... my Mom also made many of our outfits. I never appreciated the attention to detail she lovingly put into our outfits until I was much older. Fortunately, Mom never dressed us alike but she often used the same patterns with different colors. I see that your Mom was also very talented - light blue is my favorite color :-) Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my blog.

Thank you all for your comments. Susan, I feel for you, maybe our mothers were from the same gene. Cindy, both of you, my mother majored in textiles in college and she made clothes for me until high school (ugh, ugh). Cindy S. you were lucky your mother used different colors.
