My blog has been changed to make it more appealing for those who have New England ancestors and want to see the area through photos. Things I’ll include are typical white New England churches, libraries showing their genealogical collection, historical societies, cemeteries, war memorials, in general, anything to do with history.

For four years I’ve blogged mostly about my personal genealogy in New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. I still will, can’t forget my own roots.

Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.

Ok, Barbara, it is my turn to fall off my chair. You have listed Henry Glover, which Henry Glover are you related to? I am related to Henry Glover who married Hannah, through their son, Henry, who married Mary Crehore.

Oh darn dear Brenda, it isn't the same one, mine was b. ca 1622 in MA. Believe me, I know of your Glover surname and wouldn't keep that from you, ;-)

Barbara, I know we're already cousins through surnames Mayhew and Lord (and others in CT, I think). In addition: Bernard Capen, George and William Denison, Thomas Ford, Stephen Hart, Thomas Mayhew, Thomas Blodgett, Thomas Lord, and Francis Newcomb (father of Judith Newcomb).

Hope to see you again soon, cousin!

I have a Joseph Mason who married a Lydia Bowen (sources are VERY weak and no work has been done on this in years).

They married about 1686. And, I would not swear to that at this point! LOL

Know who her parents are supposed to be, nothing on him.

Elizabeth, that's a lot! I'd like to see you too, you aren't too far, maybe a Sat. at NEHGS. Carol, my Mason was out of CT, but who knows, maybe some ended up in MA.

This is like reading a history book, Barbara. There are many days I am so jealous of those with NE ancestry. I suppose I can claim the faintest step-connection via the Denisons. Should I ever get back to my father-in-law's family I'll be able to dip back into the NE resources.

Susan and Larry, Thank you both for taking the time to comment. Susan, when you are ready to work on the NE lines, I will help. And Larry, who knew we had more connections than just the Cross!
