Beverly, Massachusetts
My husband and I just discovered this beautiful estate and found out it was owned by one of Kyra Sedgwick's direct ancestors (see information about Kyra). Beverly, MA is also the town of a number of my ancestors, see one example HERE. I loved the four lily ponds, and the grounds. Lovely~!
I remember this estate from the Finding Your Roots episode that featured Kyra Sedgewick. Looking forward to your visit this fall.
I remember this well. When I lived in Beverly it wasn't open to the public. My aunt lived at 111 Essex Street, not far down the road, in Peter Woodbury's house. I hope you saw that house, too, while you were there! This part of Beverly had many summer estates, including the summer White House of President Taft. It looks like a great place to bring my Mom now that is is part of the Trustees of Reservations.
