Welcome to my Genealogy Blog.

Why not spend a minute or two at my Blog to see if there is anything interesting to read. Perhaps I've written something about your ancestor, gave a hint on how to locate something, provided a different way to do research, or just gave a glimpse into the world of genealogy research through words or photos. I try to make it light and enjoyable.

My roots are from New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada.

Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.

I also have a blog called Seeing New England. Why not visit it, to get a feeling for the area.

Great photos! And yes, I have Lowell, MA with my Varnum line. Lovely place.

Thanks Carol, I appreciate your comment. And Jenna, you too, as well as learning that you have the Varnum line (a very well-known family). Are you stuck with this family?

Barbara, the farthest I have back on the Varnums is Josiah, who married Lucy Rowe in 1802. I believe that Lucy is buried in Lowell. I don't know about Josiah. He is my 4th great grandfather. I recently found quite a bit of information on the Varnums, but haven't had a chance to analyze and put the pieces together.

I love your photos, Barbara! I was in Lowell the other day to pick up my daughter at the train station (she took the wrong line!) Jenna, if you are stuck on Josiah Varnum try looking at FARNHAM (same family).
