Welcome to my Genealogy Blog.

Why not spend a minute or two at my Blog to see if there is anything interesting to read. Perhaps I've written something about your ancestor, gave a hint on how to locate something, provided a different way to do research, or just gave a glimpse into the world of genealogy research through words or photos. I try to make it light and enjoyable.

My roots are from New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada.

Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.

I also have a blog called Seeing New England. Why not visit it, to get a feeling for the area.

Very Old Family Home -- Wordless Wednesday

The lovely shot of my grandmother's old house, in Dunham, Missisquoi Co., Quebec, Canada was taken by my 2nd cousin, whose mother still lives there.
In September 2010, I did a post, and included photos I took in 1999 of this house and an image of the house many, many years ago. That may be seen HERE.

What a beautiful home, Barbara, I could live there!

Heather and Gini, thank you for taking the time to comment. Heather, I wish I knew how old the house is, my grandmother was born there 1890, but I think her father was also living there a long time. Gini, it's nice in the summer, but mighty cold in winter, but that's Canada for you.

A warm and beautiful home that looks just like a Christmas Card complete with the lighted Christmas Tree.

It's a lovely house - but it does look very cold!

Barbara, what a beautiful, well-kept home, especially considering its age. I know you said it's cold in the winter but from the photo it looks like a warm, cozy house. It's a beautiful photograph and a beautiful home.
