I could get Half of 24.5 Million!!!

The email below was recently received. I thought you'd get a kick out of it. Good thing I didn't take him seriously. I don't even have an Alfred Poole in my tree!

Dear Barbara,
"I am Elton Lee, Head of Trade and Supply chain HSBC, Asia. A transfer of $24.5 million was deposited by our Late customers who died without declaring any next of kin before his death in 2003.My suggestion to you is to stand as the next of kin to Alfred Poole, since you bear the same surname. We shall share in the ratio of 50% for me, 50% for you."

Elton Lee.

Wordless Wednesday -- Canadian Vacation From the Past

Copy of a pamphlet for the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. A Facebook friend posted some recent photos of his trip there and I mentioned staying there many years ago. The price for a room for two in one of the towers, overlooking the St. Lawrence Seaway was about $36. I remembered I had this old pamphlet and decided to post for my Wordless Wednesday. The little black box with the name in the front is a matchbook that I cut out. We took the trip in 1966 and also stayed in Montreal for a few days.
