Tyngsborough Public Library, Tyngsborough, Massachusestts -- (See The Resources for Genealogists)

Tyngsborough Public Library is one small town away from me and has a population of about 12,000. Although the library is quite small, the large private genealogy room is worth a visit. It is in a building shared with the Town Hall, which makes it convenient to get vital records such as birth, marriage, and death certificates. Photos taken May 24, 2022, February 27, 2023, and September 2023. There is plenty of parking.

Carol Bacon was a past Library Director, who was very interested in genealogy and was a member of the genealogy club I was in. She had a major hand in getting the Special Collections Room established. We had a few genealogy meetings in this room. Outside, there is a nice bench in her honor (photo below.)

There is even a collection of the 1790 census books. I used to go to Boston to see these, before the internet.
The Mayflower Silver books are on the top shelf.
