The Life From The Roots blog topics have changed several times since I began this blog in 2009. I initially wrote only about the family history I had been working on for 20 years. Years later, I was into visiting gardens, historical homes, churches, libraries that had genealogical collections, historical societies, war memorials, and travel/tourism places. I also enjoy posting autographs and photos of famous people I've met or have seen.

Along with my New England roots, other areas include New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada.

Please check out the labels on the right side for topics (please note, they need work). Below the labels and pageviews is a listing of my top nine posts, according to Google. Four of them pertain to Lowell, MA. These posts change often because they are based on what people are reading.

31 Thank you to MyHeritage, Marian Pierre-Louis, Cari Taplin and All the ones who gave me Awards.

Thank you to MyHeritage.com for the Award ?

At the time and even today, I received each of the three messages below, these people don't know how much they helped me continue on writing. I was so new to the bloging world (one year) and many times had thoughts of dropping out.Whenever I almost did, I reread these messages and gained much confidence. I never knew I had something to say. Now, this week, I will hit 4 million hits to this old 17 year old blog!

On May 12th I received a huge surprise, that of being listed in MyHeritage.coms Top 100 Genealogy Sites for 2010. The news came early in the day, and I spent the entire day in shock. Every blog I’ve written has come easily, but this one is difficult. I am not an award type person, not competitive and haven't accepted any of the 23 awards I've received in the past from fellow bloggers. That being said, I would be a poor sport for not accepting this one, so from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Somebody was kind enough to suggest my Life From the Roots, and through their voting, I was selected to be among the 99 others, many of whom I already follow and feel as though I know personally.

Please visit MyHeritage.com, the home page for the company, and the quick link to the list to the blogs at MyHeritage.coms Top 100 Genealogy Sites. In their letter to me, they stated the following: “Our expert judging panel has set three criteria:
