James David Whidden age 49 passed away on November 29, 2011 of natural causes. He was born in Medford, Massachusetts and died in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife, a doctor, and two children.
Jim was the "owner of James Whidden, Woodright, LLC, he was a master joiner for over 20 years." "Jim and his team proudly restored some of the oldest homes in New England. Jim's work won many awards over the years, recognizing both the results and historical approach to all of his projects. Amont the homes Jim and his team historically restored are the A. Kimball House C. 1690, Ipswich, MA, the Captain Sutton House, C. 1687, Ipswich, MA, the Essex Barn, and the Lummus House C. 1715, Ipswich, MA. One of his ongoing passions was the recreation of the Alexander Knight House, a first period timber-framed building in Ipswich, MA."
