* A mill was erected for the manufacture of worsted yarn and carpets in 1841, and a company was afterwards organized as the Baldwin Manufacturing Company, which was very successfully operated for several years, until near the close of the war, when, with many similar companies, they failed.

Last Will and Testament of Zobeide DeWolf
Last Will and Testament.
I, Zobeide DeWolf of the Town of Stafford County of Genesee and State of New York, do make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say :
First.-- I direct the payment of my just debts, if any.
Second.--I give and bequeath my real estate consisting of my house and two acres of land be the same more or less and the other buildings thereon to my daughter Emily J. Mann.
Third.--I give and bequeath to each of my children an equal part of my personal property.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the twentieth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.
