UPDATE: December, 2017:  I decided to show a few pages of the manuscript which was the major source for my information. It is over 100 pages, written in 1912 and is on microfilm located at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. I made copies of about 60 pages about eight years ago.

First Generation 1.  DANIEL LAY was born on 3 Oct 1712 in Saybrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. He signed a will on 15 Jun 1778 at Deep River, vol. 1: 37 in Saybrook, Middlesex, Connecticut. He died on 28 Dec 1781 at the age of 69 in Westbrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. DANIEL was buried at Old Cemetery in Westbrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. He had his estate probated on 17 Feb 1782. DANIEL LAY and ANNE BULL were married about 1737. ANNE BULL, daughter of EDWARD BULL and MARY POST, was born on 11 Mar 1713 in Saybrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. She died on 5 Mar 1790 at the age of 76 in Westbrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut. She was buried at Old Cemetery in Westbrook, Middlesex Co., Connecticut.
