The tree is located in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Reflection in a nearby mill.
From Wikipedia, "The Wannalancit Mills are an example of adaptive re-use as they contain offices. Part of the mills are owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In 2000, the owners of the mill utilized their smokestack for the city's largest Christmas tree, reaching two hundred and fifty six feet in height."

Very pretty! That's a great example of a beautification project.
Love it, Merry Christmas Lowell Ma!
Wonderful! That is so iconic of Lowell. Most of the smokestacks in Manchester and Nashua have been removed, but I'm happy to say that most of the mill buildings are still standing.
Three very nice comments, thank you all.
This makes me smile :-)
Apple, this is for you, perhaps another smile in 2012?
